Occupation forces bulldoze agricultural land in Duma, south of Nablus

NABLUS, May 30, 2025 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces carried out fresh bulldozing operations early Friday on agricultural land in the village of Duma, south of Nablus, prompting concerns over the potential establishment of a new colonial outpost.

Suleiman Dawabsha, head of the Duma village council, said that Israeli bulldozers began work at dawn, opening a road adjacent to the main road of the village and leveling agricultural lands. Trees were also uprooted during the bulldozing.

Dawabsha warned that these actions signal a possible plan by Israeli occupation authorities to establish a new colonial outpost at the village’s entrance—an alarming development for local residents who have long faced ongoing land seizures and settler expansion.

The incident comes just a day after similar bulldozing took place in the village, targeting both agricultural land and essential infrastructure.

Duma has been repeatedly targeted by Israeli military incursions and attacks by Israeli colonists, who have assaulted residents, vandalized property, and damaged farmlands in a persistent campaign to displace Palestinians and expand illegal settlements.
