NEW YORK, April 1, 2025 (WAFA) – The World Food Programme (WFP) warned on Wednesday that supplies for hot meal distribution in the Gaza Strip will be sufficient for a maximum of two weeks, and that the last food parcels will be distributed within two days.
This came in a post on X regarding the situation in the besieged Gaza Strip, which is under Israeli occupation aggression that prevents the entry of aid.
The program confirmed that all 25 bakeries supported by the World Food Programme in Gaza have closed due to fuel and flour shortages.
The program stated that the distribution of hot meals is continuing, but supplies are sufficient for a maximum of two weeks, and we will distribute the last food parcels within two days."
For the second day in a row, WFP-supported bakeries in the Gaza Strip have closed after running out of flour and fuel needed to operate them, as a result of the occupation's continued tightening of its blockade of the Strip for a month.
