WASHINGTON, March 17, 2025 (WAFA) - Human rights and student organizations continue to hold protests in several American cities, demanding the release of Palestinian student and activist Mahmoud Khalil and rejecting his detention, which they consider a clear violation of freedom of expression guaranteed by American law.

Solidarity demonstrations continue, demanding Khalil's immediate release and condemning government policies of persecuting students and activists defending Palestinian rights and rejecting crimes committed against the Palestinian people.

Participants raised slogans condemning Khalil's arrest and all students detained for their political views in support of the Palestinian cause.

Human rights organizations called for an investigation into the circumstances that led to Khalil's detention, demanding the need to ensure a fair trial that respects his rights as a legal resident.
