Israeli military assault on Jenin continues for 34th day

JENIN, February 23, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces continue their aggression on Jenin city and its refugee camp for the 34th consecutive day, resulting so far in 27 Palestinians killed, dozens injured, and numerous others detained, alongside widespread destruction of property and infrastructure.

Last night, Israeli forces stormed the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, where they bulldozed streets and destroyed infrastructure. They also cut off the road leading to Jenin city at the town's entrance and deployed snipers on building rooftops after raiding homes and interrogating residents.

in the Jenin refugee camp, Israeli forces isolated homes in the western part of the camp yesterday by surrounding them with barbed wire after forcing the residents to evacuate.

The scale of destruction caused by Israeli bulldozers inside the camp's neighborhoods is becoming evident, with homes and properties destroyed and significant changes to the camp's landmarks and geography. Dozens of homes have been destroyed by the Israeli army to make room for opening roads for future military use in the camp.

Since the beginning of the aggression, the Israeli occupation has continued to seize several homes, turning them into military outposts, particularly in buildings near or overlooking Jenin camp. Residents of nearby buildings face difficulties entering and exiting their homes due to the constant presence of snipers, putting their lives in danger.

According to sources in the Jenin Municipality and the Jenin Camp Services Center, around 120 homes have been completely demolished, with dozens more partially destroyed, alongside significant damage to property.

It is estimated that around 160 people have been detained in Jenin, with the occupation continuing to carry out extensive raids and detentions in the city and surrounding towns and villages almost daily.
