LIMA, February 6, 2025 (WAFA) – The Republic of Peru has reiterated its firm rejection and opposition to any form of forced displacement imposed on the Palestinian people.

In a statement issued by the Embassy of Peru in Palestine, the country affirmed its commitment to defending human rights and respecting international humanitarian law. The statement emphasized that Peru "rejects and opposes any kind of forced displacement imposed on the Palestinian people."

The statement further stressed that, in order to seek lasting peace in the Middle East, Peru remains committed to the two-state solution, based on negotiations that would lead to a final political resolution between Israel and Palestine. This solution, according to Peru, must align with international legitimacy and the relevant resolutions issued by the United Nations.
