TEL AVIV, December 11, 2024 (WAFA) - Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu arrived Wednesday afternoon at the Israeli District Court in Tel Aviv to testify for the second consecutive day in the corruption cases he is accused of, including charges of bribery, fraud and breach of trust.
According to the court's judges' decision, the hearings for Netanyahu's testimony must begin at ten in the morning and continue until four in the evening, but the hearing today began at two and a half in the afternoon due to the reception of the Paraguayan president in the Knesset.
Yesterday, Netanyahu appeared in court for the first time on corruption charges.
Israeli media said that Netanyahu's stand to testify before the court is a precedent in the occupying power, as it is the first time that a prime minister has been tried while he is in office.
Netanyahu's testimony in the so-called "Case 4000" case will be about the Israeli telecommunications company Bezeq receiving extensive financial facilities in exchange for Netanyahu and his wife giving positive media coverage on the news site Walla News, owned by Bezeq owner Shaul Elovitch.
