NEW YORK, Sunday, July 21, 2024 (WAFA) – United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has expressed deep concern over reports of Israeli airstrikes inside and around the port of Hodeidah in Yemen.
The airstrikes, for which Israel claimed responsibility yesterday, resulted in casualties and left over 80 people injured, in addition to causing significant damage to civilian infrastructure.
Guterres called on all parties involved to avoid attacks that could harm civilians and civilian infrastructure, warning of the danger of further escalation in the region. He urged everyone to exercise maximum restraint.
