CAIRO, Saturday, July 13, 2024 (WAFA) – The Arab Republic of Egypt has strongly condemned Israel's deadly massacre in the Al-Mawasi area, located west of Khan Younis in southern Gaza, which resulted in dozens of casualties among innocent civilians.

In a press statement, the Egyptian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called on Israel to cease disregarding the lives of unarmed civilian citizens and to adhere to necessary humanitarian standards in accordance with international law and humanitarian law.

The ministry emphasized that "such crimes will not be subject to impunity and cannot be justified under any circumstances."

Egypt reiterated that "these ongoing violations against Palestinian civilians add serious complications to current efforts aimed at achieving a ceasefire and cessation of hostilities. These actions only worsen the humanitarian suffering of Palestinian citizens amidst shameful international silence and incapacity."
