UNRWA: Gazans facing further displacement amid new Israeli evacuation orders

NEW YORK, Saturday, July 6, 2024 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said today that the people of Gaza are facing a new wave of forced displacement amidst a loss of hope and uncertainty about safety, with no safe haven to go to.

Louise Wateridge, the communications officer at UNRWA, told The New York Times that Palestinian families in Gaza are losing hope and resilience as they confront new forced displacements amid unprecedented uncertainty regarding their safety.

She emphasized that the people of Gaza have no safe place to go, as the Israeli occupation army keeps issuing new evacuation orders, underscoring the urgent need for an immediate ceasefire.
