RAMALLAH, Wednesday, July 3, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister, Mohammad Mustafa, stressed the government's pursuit of financial stability in coordination with various Arab and international parties, noting that due to tireless government efforts and international pressure, the Israeli Ministry of Finance transferred 435 million Shekels from the withheld funds for April and May.

Speaking at the start of the weekly Cabinet meeting, Mustafa discussed efforts made at the international level and those undertaken by President Mahmoud Abbas, the leadership and the government to stop the Israeli war against the people of Gaza, double the urgent relief efforts and stop colonialism and the attacks of the occupation and colonists against the Palestinian people.

The Prime Minister noted that Israel has doubled its deductions from clearance funds since the start of its aggression on Gaza, reaching an average of 480 million shekels per month.

PM Mustafa said that the contribution of the World Bank will encourage other parties to provide financial support; which represents a message of support for the rights of the Palestinian people to exercise their lives reasonably and acceptably.

He stressed that the government will continue to work to provide the necessary support for development initiatives, namely: The Energy Security Initiative, localization of medical services, digitalization, and also the development of the social protection system, in addition to economic empowerment.
