Kuwait condemns Israel’s legalization of 5 outposts in West Bank

KUWAIT, Sunday, June 30, 2024 (WAFA) – The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs has strongly condemned and expressed its outrage over the Israeli occupation's decision to expand its colonial operations in the occupied West Bank.

In a press statement this morning, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry reiterated Kuwait's steadfast rejection of any colonial activities in the occupied Palestinian territories. The ministry labeled such actions as blatant violations of international treaties and deliberate efforts aimed at undermining global peace initiatives.

The statement underscored the crucial role of the international community and the United Nations Security Council in holding the Israeli occupation accountable and ensuring full compliance with international resolutions on this matter.

Last Friday, Israel’s hard-right Minister of Finance Bezalel Smotrich announced the legalization of five settlement outposts and plans for the construction of thousands of new settlement units in the West Bank.

This move has sparked international condemnation and renewed calls for Israel to cease its expansionist policies in Palestinian territories.
