UPDATE: Two civilians killed, others injured in Israeli drone targeting gathering of civilians north of Rafah

GAZA, Saturday, June 22, 2024 (WAFA) – Two civilians was killed and others were injured this morning in an Israeli drone targeting a gathering of civilians north of the city of Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip.

Meantime, the occupation warplanes carried out intense airstrikes in the center of Rafah, blowing up residential buildings.

In Khan Yunis, the occupation army intensely fired bullets targeting the western areas of the city, specifically in the Al-Mawasi area, resulting in the wounding of several civilians, amid a displacement of dozens of families from the western areas of the cities of Rafah and Khan Yunis towards the central areas.

Meanwhile, the occupation artillery also targeted citizens' homes in the middle of the Gaza Strip and in the northwestern areas of the Nuseirat camp, wounding a number of citizens, including children.

As for Gaza City, the occupation tanks stationed in the Netzarim axis since the morning hours fired missiles towards the neighborhoods of Al-Zaytoun, Tal Al-Hawa, Sheikh Ejlin, and Al-Sabra, which led to the injury of a number of civilians, including children and women.

Israeli drones further opened fire on citizens' homes south of the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of the city.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) announced that the occupation was intensively targeting what it claimed were safe areas in Mawasi Khan Yunis and Rafah.

PRCS stressed that medical teams in the Gaza Strip are in dire need of health supplies.

The ongoing Israeli aggression on Gaza since October 7th of last year has so far resulted in 37,431 documented Palestinian casualties, with 85,653 injured, the majority of whom are children and women.

Many victims remain under the rubble and in the streets, with rescue and medical teams unable to reach them.
