Four injured by Israeli drone fire north of Khan Yunis

GAZA, August 23, 2026 (WAFA) — Four civilians were injured today by Israeli drone fire targeting an area outside Israeli-controlled areas north of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.

Despite the ceasefire that went into effect in Gaza on October 11, 2025, Israeli breaches of the agreement have continued, with the death toll in the Gaza Strip rising to 73,420, mostly women and children, since the beginning of the Israeli aggression in October 2023. At least 174,369 others have also been injured.

This toll remains incomplete, as many victims remain trapped under rubble, inaccessible to ambulance and rescue crews.

Medical sources said that during the past 48 hours, one body and five injured individuals were brought to hospitals in Gaza.

The Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip continues despite the ceasefire that went into effect on October 11, 2025, with citizens being killed and injured as various areas of the Strip remain under attack, amid deteriorating humanitarian and health conditions and severe shortages of medical supplies, medicines, and basic necessities.
