NABLUS, August 23, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli colonists continued to besiege three Palestinian homes in the town of Qusra, south of Nablus, for the 15th consecutive day on Sunday, amid protection from Israeli forces.
WAFA correspondent reported that colonists continued surrounding three homes in the Ras al-Ain area of Qusra, while Israeli forces barred residents from entering or leaving the area.
The three families are facing shortages of water, as colonists have prevented water from being delivered to the homes and blocked the roads leading to them.
Israeli forces have also turned one of the homes into a military outpost and damaged its furniture and belongings after throwing them out of the windows.
The siege follows weeks of escalating pressure on the families. Colonists had previously set up a tent near one of the homes, blocked access to it and prevented food and other essential supplies from reaching the residents. They also cut electricity to the homes and attacked municipal workers attempting to restore services.
The families have been living in the homes around the clock in shifts to protect them, after colonists had repeatedly attempted to enter and seize the properties over several months. Israeli forces subsequently closed roads leading to the Ras al-Ain area and declared it a closed military zone.
