ANKARA, Friday, June 21, 2024 (WAFA) – Türkiye today welcomed Armenia’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine.

“We welcome Armenia’s decision to recognize the State of Palestine, following countries such as Spain, Ireland, Norway and Slovenia,” the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a press statement.

“As we have always emphasized, the recognition of Palestine is a requirement of international law, justice and conscience,” it added.

The Ministry pledged that Türkiye would “continue its efforts for more countries to recognize Palestine.”
