Economy Minister and Greek Consul General discuss reinvigorating economic relations

RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 05, 2024 (WAFA) – Minister of National Economy Mohammed al-Amour and Greek Consul General to Palestine Dimitrios Angelosopoulos today discussed reinvigorating economic relations.

During a meeting held at the Ministry of National Economy premises in Ramallah, Minister al-Amour and Greek Consul General Angelosopoulos agreed to enhance economic cooperation, particularly in the field of renewable energy.

They affirmed the importance of activating the Palestinian Greek Business Council to promote cooperation between the Palestinian and Greek private sectors.

Minister al-Amour and briefed the Greek diplomat on the current economic situation and the efforts exerted by the Palestinian government to confront all challenges given Israel’s persistence in carrying out its genocidal aggression on the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in killing 36,586 Palestinians and injuring 83,074 others.

He expressed his appreciation to Greece for its support to putting an end to the ongoing Israeli genocide in the Gaza Strip and called on it along with other European countries to recognize the State of Palestine.
