RAMALLAH, Wednesday, June 5, 2024 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa today received the European Union’s Special Representative for the Middle East Peace Process, Sven Koopmans during which they discussed the latest political developments and the ongoing Israeli violations against the Palestinian people.

They also discussed the ongoing onslaught waged against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the attacks and violations committed by the occupation army and colonists in the West Bank.

Mustafa stressed the importance of recognizing the State of Palestine, especially the European countries that have not yet recognized it and supporting the right of the Palestinian people to a state, freedom and independence.

Mustafa also stressed the need to intensify efforts by the European Union to stop the genocide gainst the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip and the need to put pressure on Israel to release the withheld Palestinian funds

Mustafa reviewed the government’s plans for the day after the end of the war in the Gaza Strip, which include all sectors and institutions, and are based on strengthening the relief effort and restoring basic services.
