JERUSALEM, Tuesday, June 4, 2024 (WAFA) - The Islamic-Christian Committee in Support of Jerusalem and its Sanctuaries warned of the dangerous repercussions of the decision of the occupation police allowing the highly provocative colonists 'Flag March' to storm the Bab al-Amoud area (Damascus Gate) in the Old City of Jerusalem towards the Al-Aqsa mosque.

In a statement issued today, the Islamic-Christian Committee said this racist march, which is scheduled on Wednesday and is fraught with barbaric attacks and racist hateful chants against the Arab citizens, would further exacerbate the already aggravated situation in the city.

The committee accused the occupation of trying to employ this march, which commemorates the occupation of Jerusalem in 1967, to assert its delusional sovereignty over the city.

The committee held the occupation police responsible for granting colonists the green light to desecrate the streets of the city of Jerusalem during the march.

It called on Arab shop owners in the Old City to keep their shops open during the march and counter any attempts by the colonists to attack them, urging Muslims to intensify their presence at the Al-Aqsa mosque.
