GAZA, Tuesday, May 28, 2027 (WAFA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said today that with the "unsuitable living conditions" in Rafah, south of the Gaza Strip, "providing assistance & protection becomes nearly impossible."
In a post on X, the Agency said that "in the past 3 weeks around 1 million people have fled Rafah."
"This happened with nowhere safe to go & amidst bombardments, lack of food & water, piles of waste & unsuitable living conditions."
"Day after day, providing assistance & protection becomes nearly impossible #CeasefireNow," it concluded.
