Pakistan underscores two-state solution only way to end Israeli-Palestinian conflict

ISLAM ABAD, Monday, May 20, 2024 (WAFA) – Pakistani Foreign Minister Muhammad Ishaq Dar confirmed on Monday that there is no solution to the conflict in the Middle East without establishing the State of Palestine.

In a joint press conference with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan, in the Pakistani capital, Islamabad, the Pakistani minister stressed the importance of a permanent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and providing humanitarian aid.

 According to the latest figures, the ongoing Israeli military onslaught on Gaza since October 7 has killed at least 35,456 Palestinians, the majority of whom are women and children. 

Additionally, 79,476 individuals have been injured, with thousands still believed to be trapped under the rubble.
