MOSCOW, Thursday, May 16, 2024 (WAFA) – Russian President Vladimir Putin emphasized today the urgent need to find a just solution to the Palestinian issue considering the unprecedented escalation currently unfolding in the Middle East.

In a message directed to the Arab Summit held in Bahrain, and published on the official Kremlin website, Putin said, "The Middle East is experiencing one of its most severe crises. The escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict has claimed the lives of tens of thousands of civilians."

He affirmed, "In light of these tragic events, reaching a just resolution to the Palestinian issue, based on internationally recognized standards, becomes particularly pressing."
