WASHINGTON DC, Saturday, May 11, 2024 (WAFA) – More than 2,400 students have been arrested amid pro-Palestine protests at over 50 American universities since April 18th, according to a recent CNN report.
Citing police and court records, CNN stated that since April 18th, police and security forces across the United States have arrested over 2,400 students amid pro-Palestine protests at over 50 universities.
Moreover, police have also arrested over 50 faculty members during pro-Palestine protests at various universities across the country, according to the same source.
Since April 18th, American universities have witnessed a student uprising in support of Gaza against the Israeli war of genocide, with protests later expanding to universities in countries such as France, Britain, Germany, Canada, and India.
