PARIS, Monday, May 6, 2024 (WAFA) – France renewed its firm condemnation regarding the potential consequences of an Israeli offensive in the city of Rafah.

The Israeli army issued on Monday morning urgent evacuation orders to Palestinian residents and displaced individuals in several areas of eastern Rafah, urging them to immediately relocate to the center of the Strip.

"Today, the Israeli occupation forces called on citizens in the areas east of Rafah, in the far south of Gaza, to “immediately evacuate” and head towards the center of the Strip."

The French Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that "the forced displacement of civilians constitutes a war crime under international law."
