Bodies of six aid workers killed in Gaza by Israeli army arrive in Egypt

CAIRO, Wednesday, April 3, 2024 (WAFA) -  The bodies of six foreign relief workers working for the World Central Kitchen organization, who were killed in an Israeli shelling in Gaza, arrived in Egypt today to be returned to their countries.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said that its crews transported the six bodies from the Abu Youssef Al-Najjar Hospital, in Rafah, to the Rafah land crossing with Egypt.

The tragedy, which sparked wide international outrage, came around six months after the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip began, which has so far killed more than 33,000 people before the eyes of the entire world, which failed until the moment to obligate Israel to stop its aggression, crimes and violations of international law, international humanitarian law and the Geneva conventions.

Seven aid workers were killed in an Israeli air raid on Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip on Monday, right after they unloaded more than 100 tons of food supplies that were transported to Gaza by sea.

Egyptian sources reported that the bodies of the six foreigners; an Australian, a Polish, an American-Canadian and three Britons who were killed along with a Palestinian humanitarian worker, arrived in Egypt this evening and were handed over to representatives of their countries to return them to their home countries.
