RAMALLAH, Monday, March 25, 2024 (WAFA) – Activists in the United States launched a massive campaign to boycott the US giant in the manufacture of electronic chips and computer equipment, Intel, after its board of directors announced its plan to expand work in Israel by investing $25 billion in building an electronic chip factory in one of Israeli colonies.
Intel plans to build a factory in the Kiryat Gat colony, which was forcibly established on the ruins of the village of Iraq Al-Manshiya, 32 kilometers north of Gaza, which deepens its complicity with Israel in the genocide it is committing against the Palestinian people.
The activists called on to boycott the company's products and computers equipped with Intel chips, and urged companies, educational institutions, factories and investment funds to boycott the company's goods and replace them with other companies to pressure them to stop their plans to support the Israeli economy.
This comes at a time when many companies announced the withdrawal of their investments and projects from Israel as the war on Gaza continues.
