MADRID, Monday, February 12, 2024 (WAFA) - Spanish actress Alba Flores has called for peace in Palestine during the Goya Awards, held in the Spanish city of Valladolid, where several Spanish artists and actors also demanded an end to the Israeli genocide against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.

Flores, known for her role as Nairobi in Spanish crime drama television series "La Casa de Papel" (Money Heist) asked ''Peace to Palestine''.

Before presenting the award for Best Original Song, Flores said: "Good night and peace for Palestine, please," in the auditorium, where the president of Spain, Pedro Sánchez, was present.

Flores, who wore a watermelon-shaped sticker with the word "Gaza" written in the middle of it, told reported on the ceremony's red carpet that "because 30,000 people have already been killed in Gaza, sometimes it is hard to come to celebrate. It costs a lot."
