AMMAN, Friday, February 9, 2024 (WAFA) – Thousands of people across Jordan participated in rallies and marches today across the kingdom for the 19th consecutive Friday, expressing support for Palestine and condemning the ongoing Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip.
A massive central march took place following the Friday prayers from the Grand Al-Husseini Mosque in the heart of the capital, Amman, in solidarity with the Palestinian people.
Participants denounced the crimes committed by the occupying Israeli forces in the Gaza Strip, calling for meaningful Arab and international intervention to top the aggression.
Protesters waved both Palestinian and Jordanian flags, holding banners affirming their rejection of the aggression and the killing of children, women, elderly individuals, as well as the targeting of places of worship, schools, and hospitals.
They urged the international community to defend the rights of the Palestinian people and compel the United States and Israel's supporting nations to press Israel to stop its brutal genocide in Gaza.
