Tens of thousands of Turks rally in Istanbul in support of Palestine

ISTANBUL, Saturday, October 28, 2023 (WAFA) – Tens of thousands of people rallied today in Istanbul, Turkiye, in support of the Palestinian people amid the ongoing Israeli genocidal aggression on Gaza.

People from different walks of life, carrying Turkish and Palestinian flags, showed up at the rally, held in the vicinity of the Ataturk Airport. Some of the attendants also wore headbands with the inscription, "We are all Palestinians," "End the genocide, let the children live" and "Be the voice of Palestinian children."

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan, who addressed the massive crowds, said, "Israel has been openly committing war crimes for 22 days, but the Western leaders cannot even call on Israel for a ceasefire, let alone react to it."

"We will tell the whole world that Israel is a war criminal. We are making preparations for this. We will declare Israel a war criminal," he added.

Erdogan also criticized some Western nations' unconditional support for Israel, which has been making use of this support to commit war crimes against the Palestinian people.
