Weather: Hot, dry and dusty conditions with temperature remaining 7°C above the seasonal average

RAMALLAH, Monday, April 10, 2023 (WAFA) – Hot, dry and dusty conditions are expected today in Palestine with temperature remaining 7°C above the seasonal average until the afternoon. However, temperature drops in the evening with a rise in humidity and a chance of light rainfall in some areas, mainly in the southern and central regions, which expands to cover all areas at night along with occasional thunderstorms, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department.

Winds are southeasterly to southwesterly, light to moderate, active at times, and sea waves are low to medium.

Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 14°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 27°C and a low of 13°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C and a low of 20°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 18°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

A low-pressure cold front affects Palestine tomorrow, Tuesday, causing temperature to plummet and become 6°C below the seasonal average. Rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, is expected in most areas.

The low-pressure front is expected to continue to affect Palestine on Wednesday causing temperature to drop further and become 9°C below the seasonal average. Rain, sometimes heavy and accompanied by thunderstorms and hail, is expected in most areas.

A rise in temperature is expected on Thursday, which remains 7°C below the seasonal average.
