GAZA, September 10, 2026 (WAFA) — Medical sources at Al-Ahli Arab Hospital in Gaza City said on Thursday that the hospital’s main generator, which powers the facility, had stopped operating due to a shortage of oil and spare parts.
The sources said the generator shutdown forced the suspension of the hospital’s imaging department, including the only CT scanner in northern Gaza, while medical services have been reduced and several surgeries postponed.
The hospital is facing a risk of collapse and urgently requires assistance to maintain the delivery of essential medical services, the sources said.
