After getting an army permit to reach his land, Palestinian farmer discovers vandalism of more than 100 of olive trees
Olive trees cut down in Turmus Ayya.

RAMALLAH, Monday, November 6, 2022 (WAFA) – Awad Abu Samra, owner of land in the town of Turmus Ayya, northeast of the occupied West Bank city of Ramallah, told WAFA today that after he was able to get an Israeli army permit to access his land, he discovered that more than 100 of his olive trees were vandalized.

He said that settlers from the illegal Israeli settlement of Adi Ad, located near his town, uprooted the olive trees and stole their crops.

Abu Samra said owners of lands located near settlements or behind the apartheid wall built to separate Palestinian communities from the settlements cannot access their lands without an army permit and therefore he was able to find out about the vandalism of his trees only after he got a permit and was able to reach his land.
