RAMALLAH, September 6, 2026 (WAFA) — The foreign ministers of the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye and Egypt have jointly condemned statements by Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Army Minister Israel Katz concerning the displacement of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, including proposals for plans and mechanisms aimed at forcibly removing Palestinians from their land.
In a joint statement, the ministers said the inflammatory statements and proposals constitute a blatant violation of international law, including international humanitarian law, and pose a direct threat to the legitimate and inalienable rights of the Palestinian people.
They categorically rejected and condemned any attempts or plans aimed at displacing the Palestinian people, whether within or outside the occupied Palestinian territory, under any pretext or justification. They warned of the grave consequences of turning calls for forced displacement into declared policy or concrete measures aimed at uprooting Palestinians from their land.
The ministers stressed that such measures directly challenge international efforts to achieve peace, particularly President Donald Trump's comprehensive plan to end the war in Gaza, which includes an unequivocal rejection of forced displacement, and warned that they could seriously undermine prospects for regional stability.
They affirmed that the Gaza Strip is an integral part of the occupied Palestinian territory and stressed the need to preserve the territorial unity of Gaza and the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The ministers further reaffirmed that the only path toward a just and lasting peace is the implementation of the two-state solution and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state along the June 4, 1967 lines, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with relevant international resolutions.
They called on the international community, particularly the United Nations Security Council, to assume its responsibilities and firmly confront any attempts to impose a new demographic or geographic reality in the occupied Palestinian territory and ensure respect for international law.
They also reaffirmed their full support for the steadfastness of the Palestinian people on their land and their rejection of all efforts aimed at erasing the Palestinian cause or undermining the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.
