TUBAS, September 6, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today detained at least nine Palestinians during an incursion into the town of Abqaba, in the West Bank province of Tubas, according to local sources.
Director of the Tubas branch of the Palestinian Prisoners’ Society, Kamal Bani Odeh, said that nine Palestinians had so far been detained, while an unspecified number of other residents were being held by the Israeli forces.
He added that the forces turned a house under construction into a field interrogation center for young men during the ongoing incursion.
Meanwhile, the Tubas Directorate of Education announced that schools in Aqqaba would delay the start of classes until 9 a.m. due to the ongoing Israeli raid.
Israeli forces raided Aqaba in the early hours of today, deploying in several areas amid gunfire and the flight of drones. Local sources said soldiers raided and searched several Palestinian homes and seized a private vehicle.
