JENIN, September 6, 2026 (WAFA) — Israeli occupation forces today detained two Palestinians from the town of al-Zababdeh and Jenin city and injured another with live ammunition.

The Palestinian Prisoners’ Society said that Israeli forces raided al-Zababdeh, south of Jenin, and detained Raouf Malek Emil after raiding his home and ransacking its contents. Emil is a member of the Palestinian police.

The forces also raided the al-Jabriyat neighborhood of Jenin city and detained former prisoner Mohammad Ibrahim Amer after raiding and ransacking his home. His brother was injured by live ammunition during the detention operation.

The Palestine Red Crescent Society said its crews treated a 50-year-old man who sustained live-fire wounds to his hand and leg after Israeli soldiers opened fire in the al-Jabriyat area. He was transported to hospital for medical treatment.
