Palestine’s Muay Thai National Team wins three medals at the 2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports competition

ANKARA, Thursday, September 29, 2022 (WAFA) – Palestine’s Muay Thai National Team won three medals at the 2022 FISU University World Cup Combat Sports competition, which was held in the Turkish city of Samsun, where 62 universities from 19 countries participated.

Ahmed Helal, a brilliant Muay Thai fighter, won the gold medal in the 86 kg category, after winning all of the matches in which he participated, while Dana Akef and Amir al-Amla each won a silver medal.

The national team achieved fourth place in the competition, making this achievement the first of its kind for Palestine in the history of its participation in previous editions.

In turn, Palestinian Muay Thai coach Ahmad Abu Dukhan confirmed that the three players are among the elite elements that the Palestinian federation has worked to nurture and refine in the past years and have been able to score achievements in continental and international forums.
