Foreign ministry condemns unjust occupation court's ruling against charity Gaza aid worker

RAMALLAH, Tuesday, August 30, 2022 (WAFA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the occupation court’s unjust and retaliatory ruling against charity Gaza aid worker, Mohammed al-Halabi, stressing the ruling is null and illegal and a dangerous precedent.

The ministry in a statement considered the Israeli court’s ruling an extension of the injustice that befell al-Halabi from the first moment of his arrest without any evidence or proof and without any confessions he made regarding the fabricated charges brought against him.

It slammed the court’s ruling as an integral part of the occupation’s war on international organizations and bodies providing assistance to the Palestinian people.

The ministry stressed that sentencing al-Halabi to 12 years in prison is new proof that the Israeli judiciary and court system in Israel is an integral part of the occupation regime and its continuing aggression against the Palestinian people, their land, property, and holy sites, and their just and legitimate national rights.

The ministry stressed that it will press for follow-up on this case with all the relevant international parties to urge them to put pressure on the occupying power to immediately release al-Halabi.
