NEW YORK, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 (WAFA) - Michelle Bachelet, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights said she is appalled at the killing of Al-Jazeera journalist Shireen Abu Akleh while covering an Israeli military operation in Jenin.
“Our Office is on the ground verifying the facts," she said in a tweet.
The UN High Commissioner urged an independent, transparent investigation into her killing. “Impunity must end,” she tweeted.
