RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 04, 2022 (WAFA) – The Palestinian National Council (PNC) warned today against Israeli settlers’ intentions to storm the al-Aqsa mosque in Jerusalem tomorrow to carry out their plans of raising the Israeli flag at the Muslim holy compound and singing the Israeli anthem.

PNC in a statement denounced the continued attacks against the al-Aqsa mosque, including cutting the electric wires to loudspeakers of the mosque, as well as harassing Christians by placing obstacles to prevent them from holding their prayers.

It stressed that settlers' repeated calls to desecrate the blessed al-Aqsa Mosque come as part of the systematic occupation scheme to try to impose the Israeli narrative which is based on religious myths that claim that this land belongs to the Jews.

The National Council called on the Arab parliaments and the parliaments of the world to move and pressure the occupying power to stop the systematic war carried out against the Palestinian people and their inalienable national rights.
