Occupation forces dismantle shelters near Jericho

JERICHO, Sunday, March 20, 2022 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces today dismantled and destroyed two Palestinian shelters in the village of Al-Muarrajat, to the west of Jericho city in the occupied West Bank, according to local sources.

Feras Kaabneh, a local Palestinian activist who monitors Israeli violations in the area, said an Israeli army force broke into the village and embarked on dismantling two residential structures for the Palestinian Bedouin family of Meleheat.

Kaabneh said the shelters demolished were home to 12 family members, most of them women and children.

Demolitions by Israeli occupation authorities in the occupied West Bank are a frequent occurrence, and are often grounded on a variety of pretexts such as building without Israeli permission and many others.
