Polling in first phase of 2021 Palestinian local elections ends

RAMALLAH, Saturday, December 11, 2021 (WAFA) - Polling in the first phase of the 2021 Palestinian local elections ended this evening at 7:00 pm in 154 localities, all in the West Bank, said the Central Election Commission (CEC).

CEC said those who were already inside the polling stations at 7:00 pm were allowed to vote. A press conference will be held tomorrow morning to announce the results. 

The voter turnout for the first phase of the 2021 local elections reached 46.73% up until 4:00 pm local time  

The CEC clarified that the number of voters in various districts of the West bank, up until 4:00 pm, reached 189,581 out of the overall number of eligible voters of 405,687.
