RAMALLAH, Tuesday, December 07, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy and relatively cold in most districts and mild in the Jordan Valley in daytime with a rise in temperature, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Weather tonight is mostly cloudy and cold. Light southeasterly wind blows in the daytime, and moderate to light southwesterly wind prevails in the night. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and in Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 9°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 8°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 26°C and a low of 16°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 23°C and a low of 14°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low pressure front is set to affect the region on Wednesday causing temperature to plummet and paving the way to partly cloudy to cloudy skies and relatively cold to cold conditions. Torrential rain showers are highly expected along with occasional thunderstorms, especially in the north and the center.
Partly cloudy to cloudy and cold conditions continue to prevail on Thursday. Sporadic rain showers are expected starting in the north and extending to the center of the country with the chance of rainfall waning towards the night.
Partially cloudy skies and relatively cold conditions are expected to continue on Friday with a rise in temperature.
PMD warns citizens against slippery roads, low horizontal visibility and gusty winds, which could reach 70 km/h.
