RAMALLAH, Thursday, November 25, 2021 (WAFA) – Palestine today recorded 266 new Covid-19 cases and a death, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.
She announced that 266 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and another died of it in the occupied territories.
As part of the 266 new cases, 180 cases were registered in the West Bank and 86 others in the Gaza Strip.
She identified the death case as a resident of the Gaza Strip.
She added that 160 Covid-19 patients recovered; 50 recovery cases in the West Bank and 110 others in the Gaza Strip.
She pointed that 38 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 70 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including eight who are on ventilators.
She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 98.4 percent and the active cases account for 0.6 percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
