RAMALLAH, Friday, November 19, 2021 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Friday and Thursday evening detained at least four Palestinians from the West Bank, according to security and local sources.

They said that Israeli forces re-arrested a former prisoner after stopping him at the 'Einav, located at the eastern entrance of ‘Anabta town, east of the northern West Bank city of Tulkarm.

The soldiers detained another and ransacked his house in 'Illar town, northeast of Tulkarm, turning the house topsy-turvy.

Still in the northern West Bank, Israeli soldiers forcibly entered a house in al-Hashimiya village, south of Jenin, ransacked it and interrogated the family members.

In East Jerusalem, another Palestinian was detained from al-Issawiya, a neighborhood of some 20,000 residents are constantly harassed by the Israeli police and anyone, including children, run the risk of arbitrary arrest.

In the southern West Bank, Israeli forces barged their way into the northern part of Hebron city, where they rounded up another from his butcher shop.

Israeli forces frequently raid Palestinian houses almost on a daily basis across the West Bank on the pretext of searching for "wanted" Palestinians, triggering clashes with residents.

These raids, which take place also in areas under the full control of the Palestinian Authority, are conducted with no need for a search warrant, whenever and wherever the military chooses in keeping with its sweeping arbitrary powers.

Under Israeli military law army commanders have full executive, legislative and judicial authority over 3 million Palestinians living in the West Bank. Palestinians have no say in how this authority is exercised.
