TULKARM, October 5, 2026 (WAFA) – Colonists on Monday evening assaulted Palestinian farmers from the Katanah family while they were picking olives on their land in the village of Izbat An-Nazla Ash-Sharqiya, north of Tulkarm, and stole their harvest.
Head of Izbat An-Nazla ash-Sharqiya Village Council, Wael Katanah, told WAFA that armed colonists attacked farmer Ali Awwad Katanah and his family during the olive harvest. The attackers forced them off their land, banned them from returning, and stole their harvested olives.
He added that the village and its lands face repeated attacks by colonists coming from an illegal colonial outpost established on land taken over in the northeast. Katanah noted that these colonists regularly target farmers, driving them from their fields at gunpoint.
He warned that these ongoing attacks threaten to result in the seizure of more agricultural land, stripping local owners of their main source of livelihood.
