RAMALLAH,
Friday, November 19, 2021 (WAFA) – Weather today is partly cloudy to cloudy and
slightly cold in daytime and relatively cold to cold in nighttime with a drop
in temperature, which approaches 2°C above the seasonal average, according to the
Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Sporadic
rainfall is expected on some districts with occasional thunderstorms. Light to
moderate northwesterly to southwesterly wind blows, and becomes occasionally
active in the day. Sea waves are low to medium.
Temperature in the capital, Jerusalem, and in Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 18°C and a low of 12°C, and in Ramallah and Hebron a high of 17°C and a low of 11°C are expected. In Jericho, the Dead Sea, and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 28°C and a low of 17°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 16°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low pressure is set to affect the region on Saturday, causing temperature to plummet and approach 7°C below the seasonal average and paving the way to cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers, which could be torrential, are expected on most districts, with occasional thunderstorms.
Sunday’s temperature is set to slightly rise by 1°C, with partly cloudy to cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions. Sporadic rain showers, which could be torrential, continue to fall on most districts with occasional thunderstorms.
A further slight rise in temperature is expected on Sunday, paving the way to partly cloudy and relatively cold to cold conditions. The chance remains for sporadic rainfall on some districts.
PMD warns people against low horizontal visibility, slippery roads and flash floods in low areas and valleys.
