RAMALLAH, Thursday, October 28, 2021 (WAFA) – Palestine today recorded 355 new Covid-19 cases and six deaths, according to Health Minister Mai Alkaila.
She announced that 355 Palestinians tested positive for the highly contagious virus and six others died of it in the occupied territories.
As part of the 370 new cases, 126 cases were registered in the West Bank and 229 others in the Gaza Strip.
She said that the five of the six deaths were in the Gaza Strip, while one was registered in the occupied West Bank city of Jenin.
She added that 721 Covid-19 patients recovered; 153 recovery cases in the West Bank and 568 others in the Gaza Strip.
She pointed that 56 Covid-19 patients are getting treatment in intensive care units and 99 others are currently receiving treatment at hospitals, including 13 who are on ventilators.
She said that the recovery rate in Palestine has so far reached 97.6 percent and the active cases account for 1.4 percent. The death toll stood at 1 percent of total infections.
