Weather forecast: Relief in heat stress is expected

 

RAMALLAH, Friday, July 31, 2020 (WAFA) – The heat stress affecting the region is set to relieve, causing temperature to drop to 4°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).

Weather is mainly clear and relatively hot in mountainous districts and hot to very hot in other districts in daytime. Mild conditions in mountainous districts and relatively hot to hot conditions in other districts are expected in nighttime. Light to moderate northwesterly to westerly wind blows with occasional gusts. Sea waves are low.

Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 20°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 31°C and a low of 19°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 40°C and a low of 26°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 32°C and a low of 23°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.

Saturday’s temperature is set to remain steady, with relatively hot conditions in mountainous districts and hot to very hot conditions in other districts in daytime. Mild conditions in mountains and relatively hot conditions in other districts are expected in nighttime.

The same weather conditions are expected for Sunday and Monday.
