BETHLEHEM, July 16, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli forces prevented the dawn call to prayer and the holding of Fajr prayers early Saturday in the village of Husan, west of Bethlehem, and forced worshippers to leave one of its mosques.
A security source told WAFA correspondent that Israeli forces stormed the mosque, prevented the call to prayer and the congregation from performing the prayer, and forced the worshippers to leave before firing stun grenades and tear gas at them.
The source added that Israeli forces closed all entrances and gates leading to the villages of al-Arqoub, southwest of Bethlehem, and assaulted a resident of Nahalin as he was crossing the main gate separating the town from the rest of the governorate.
