RAMALLAH, July 16, 2026 (WAFA) – A 17-year-old Palestinian succumbed to wounds early Saturday after being shot by Israeli forces in the village of al-Mughayyir, northeast of Ramallah..
Marzouq Abu Naim, deputy head of the al-Mughayyir village council, told WAFA that al-Naasan had been shot in the thigh by an explosive bullet during an Israeli raid on the village about a week earlier.
The bullet, fired during a colonist attack, caused critical injuries. He was later pronounced dead from his injuries.
On July 11, Israeli forces and colonists attacked the home of Muhammad Hamed Abu Aliya in al-Mughayyir, shooting al-Naasan in the thigh with live ammunition. Other residents were injured by rubber-coated metal bullets. A 10-year-old child, Raed Odeh Abu Alia, was also struck in the head by a stun grenade.
The village of Al-Mughayir and the surrounding villages and towns have been subjected to continuous attacks by colonists on citizens and their property, in addition to continuous raids by the occupation forces.
