NABLUS, August 4, 2012 (WAFA) – Eight Palestinians were injured when Jewish settlers threw rocks early Saturday at a bus travelling on the main Ramallah-Nablus road, according to a Palestinian activist.
Ghassan Daghlas, who monitors settlement activities in the north of the West Bank, said the settlers threw rocks at the bus near the settlement of Shilo and at Palestinian cars travelling in the same area.
Eight people on the bus carrying worshippers who were returning home after a day of prayer at al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem were injured and were taken to hospital in Nablus for treatment.
Settlers have escalated their attacks against Palestinians in the area, particularly in the nearby village of Sinjil where settlers had set up mobile homes as a step toward establishing another illegal settlement in the occupied territories.
